TAG Program

        The Cass County R-V School system created the Talented and Gifted (TAG) program to provide opportunities for the gifted and talented students to broaden their horizons through differentiated educational programs and services beyond those usually provided by the regular school program.  The TAG program includes students in grades 3-10 who have scored in the 95th percentile on standardized intelligence and achievement tests.

        The goals of the TAG program are:

• To encourage self-direction and teacher-pupil planning.
• To stimulate curiosity and an eagerness to learn.
• To broaden and deepen a child's own interests.
• To foster self-evaluation.
• To build a student's social skills.
• To raise standards of performance in keeping with the child's abilities and experiences.
• To develop skills in locating, gathering, organizing, presenting, and using information from a variety of sources.
